Taste of Nola in Arlington

I have been remising of our recent time in New Orleans last fall. We ended up visiting around the same time as the iconic Decadence festival celebrating gay pride, which was so much fun.

Date night is always a treat though, since i work two jobs and often through the weekends. Natasha recently found a dope spot with amazing New Orleans inspired food in Arlington. The Warehouse had an opening and we booked the reservation.

when i recollect our overall endounter at this gorgeous yet intimate setting, we went through three rounds of tasty food within an hour an ten minutes. Each piece of delicious food was the throwback Thursday i needed to remind me of my great time in the revolutionary food city of New Orleans.

We had delicious spirits, while we scarfed calamari, and other tasty Appetizers.

Great minds think alike, so Natasha and I both selected the Surf & Turf. The Filet was smoother than butter, topped with our Kryptonite: Jumbo Lump Crab Meat. The Asparagus and sauce dripped over the dish really took it over the top.

typically i dont’t have a sweet tooth (but for my lady lol), but this night my mind was focused on this delicious Peacon Pie with a scoop of ice cream. Tasha got the Tres Leches, which was smooth, creamy, and crunchy all at once. She tried this herself last June after a phenomenal Filet and Wedge Salad.

All in all, i highly recommend The Whatehouse in Old Town, Alexandria, for a great NOLA vibe without the flight.
